A Cessna C550 crashed about 10:15 AM this morning in Statesville, NC, about 30 minutes from our home.
Evidently the plane, owned by former NASCAR driver Greg Biffle, was attempting to land at the Statesville Regional Airport. It is not being reported yet who was on the plane.
Please join us in prayer for the family members of those who perished, the NASCAR community, and all those in the law enforcement, fire, and EMT communities who have responded.
UPDATE: Very reliable sources are now reporting that retired NASCAR driver, Greg Biffle, his wife, and children, were on board the Cessna C550 that tragically crashed this morning at the Statesville Regional Airport.
